The Burlington Discover Jazz Festival is one of the most exciting events in Vermont over the summer. For a week in June, the city transforms into a musical wonderland. The Skinny Pancake is excited to be part of the festivities this year. We will be closing out the event with an unforgettable Jazz Fest Weekend Closeout Show at our Burlington Waterfront location.

What to Expect

Please join us on Saturday, June 8th, for a fun-filled afternoon of free live music. Our lineup includes two incredible performers you won’t want to miss.

At 3 p.m., The Skinny Pancake invites Avi Salloway and Friends to the stage. Avi Salloway is an acclaimed musician and activist with deep roots in Vermont. As a folk and jazz artist, he drew inspiration from legends Pete and John Seeger. Avi has performed over 1,500 shows and toured more than 25 countries. Well-known for his collaborations, his friends will be in tow and ready to add to the festive vibes.

By 5 p.m., we will turn up the energy with a performance by Sonido Mal Maïz. As an Afro-Latin band, their music explores the psychedelic side of Hispanic dance music. Expect to get out of your seat and dance the night away. Led by Costa Rican-born Maïz Vargas Sandoval, the band has been part of the Burlington music scene since 2014.    

The closeout show is more than just a concert; we see it as a celebration of everything that makes Burlington special: good music and good food. Skinny Pancake is proud to be part of the tight-knit Burlington community. There are no tickets or costs required for the shows, and we are inviting all ages to attend.
