10% For the Valley with UV Habitat for Humanity

From a small office located in the heart of White River Junction, Upper Valley Habitat for Humanity works toward its vision of creating a world in which everyone has a safe, comfortable, and affordable place to live by building homes for those who could not otherwise afford to purchase a house. Founded in 1986, the non-profit has built over 35 single family homes in the Upper Valley of VT and NH. With the help of a dedicated group of volunteers and supporters, they are currently building a new high-efficiency home in Sharon, VT, for a family of five to purchase in the spring. They also plan to sell an existing home in Lebanon, NH, to a family of three in January.
UVHFH’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative in Claremont, NH, recently completed extensive renovations on a home in the city and will soon become its own Habitat chapter. In collaboration with local organizations and agencies, it is also building a lead abatement team to address the issues of lead paint in older houses in Claremont.
