Green Drinks with NOFA-VT
January 29, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This once a month networking event is a space for environmentally minded friends to meet and learn about a local program or initiative to improve our environment and enjoy a beverage donated graciously by our sponsors. Please join us!
January’s featured organization is NOFA-VT! The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) is a member-based non-profit organization working for organic farms, healthy food, and strong communities. NOFA-VT works to help every producer understand the values of farming organically, and every consumer to understand the impacts of eating organic food. By building public awareness, we grow markets for organic food. Through organic certification, technical assistance, research, policy and advocacy, we work to grow organic agriculture in Vermont.
NOFA-VT’s 37th annual Winter Conference will be on February 16-18th, in Burlington. The conference is NOFA-VTs biggest fundraiser, and a highlight of the winter for Vermont’s local and organic food producers and consumers alike. We look forward to this annual opportunity to bring together farmers, gardeners, homesteaders and organic food enthusiasts for three days of shared learning, inspiration, good food, and great conversation.
Register for the conference today at www.nofavt.org/conference
This year’s conference theme is Food Traditions: Celebrating Our Agricultural Roots. We are thrilled to welcome incredible keynote speakers Leah Penniman and Melody Walker Brook, eighty weekend workshops and panel discussions, and four Monday Intensives.
Join us at Green Drinks to learn more about NOFA-VT and our annual Winter Conference, and register to attend or join NOFA-VT as a member!
There will also be a chance to win a FREE one-day pass to the NOFA-VT Winter Conference!
