We are halfway through October, and @NOFAVermont's #ShareTheHarvest Fundraiser! ⁠⁠

We've pledged to donate 10% of all food sales made Pancakia-wide on Mondays this month, and so far we have raised $2,679 to help provide income-eligible Vermonters with half-priced CSA shares. CSAs give regular, reliable access to high-quality produce and directly support local farmers. ⁠⁠
⁠⁠
We've said it before and we will say it again- we LOVE CSAs because of how easy they make it to directly connect local farmers/producers with their local community, and vice versa. ⁠⁠
⁠⁠
The Share the Harvest fundraiser is happening ⁠⁠all month long at participating businesses located all over Vermont! Share the Harvest by choosing to shop at a participating businesses on their specified day/s, and lets help subsidize limited-income Vermonters' participation in CSAs. 💪⁠⁠

Have you heard the news?! The Vermont Everyone Eats program has been extended through the end of the year!!! Woo-hoo! 🎉⁠⁠

With support from the State of Vermont and reimbursements from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), @Shift_Meals will keep sharing meals with folks affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and experiencing food insecurity. We’re so proud of every single participant, volunteer, restaurant team member, food producer, farmer, and community partner that has helped keep VEE alive this year. ⁠⁠

Since the start of Everyone Eats, 14 community hubs have worked with over 200 restaurants sourcing ingredients from over 300 farmers to distribute over 1.6 million meals to Vermonters all over the state. That’s a lot of meals and we’re so happy to be able to continue helping provide them. Originally designed as a five-month program, VEE has been extended multiple times to mitigate high levels of food insecurity and economic instability exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis.⁠ THANK YOU to everyone involved in helping extend this good work. ⁠⁠
