Did you know babies born on February 29th are called “leapers” or “leaplings”?

Leapling… how darling is that? Nobody can get mad at you because you’re just a lil leapling. We don’t make the rules, we just follow them. This one goes out to all the leapers and leaplings out there – we see you and we love you every year, not just every four.

Lots happened in February – we had a stellar time spinnin’ crepes and connecting with farmers all across Vermont at the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) Winter Conference! How inspiring it was to be in community sharing stories and building worlds with one another. We’re grateful for events like this to be in communion with people like you. 1% of all Sugarshack sales from the month of February will be donated to our local NOFA chapters (NOFA-VT and NOFA-NY) as part of our Crepes for a Cause initiative. NOFA is on a mission to sculpt an agricultural utopia that’s not just economically viable but ecologically sound and socially righteous – a harmonious haven that benefits every living being in its sphere.

We have some exciting updates to share regarding our Burlington Waterfront location! We will be closed from March 4th – 24th while we renovate our kitchen! This is a significant investment to enhance our efficiency, speed up turnaround time and create a better working environment for our exceptional staff. This investment is not just about improving the physical space; it’s about investing in our people, our product and the very place you’ve come to know and love.
