pictured here is a savory crepe (not to be mistaken with a sweet crepe, nonono). it’s in the definition of savory itself—salty, yes; spicy, could be; but sweet? simply ain’t so. it’s sweet in the way you unconsciously give a soft smile to the babbling baby as you pass by in the (abnormally) small aisles at Trader Joe’s. sweet in the way the song you were listening to in the car ends at the exact moment you arrive at your destination, but not sweet like toothache sweet. the confusion ends here.

As an ode to our Crepes for a Cause initiative, where the art of crepe-making meets the art of community, 1% of our Sugarshack sales will make their way to Vermont Adaptive for the month of March. VT Adaptive stands as a testament to the power of unity and inclusiveness for the empowerment of people with disabilities through instruction and access to sports and recreational activities.⁠

Not only do they offer the largest variety of program opportunities and specialized equipment ensuring that every willing soul can participate, but they recognize how these offerings help aid people in building self-confidence and independence both physically and mentally.⁠

the thing about nature is that it’s perfect. trees? pristine. mountains? overwhelmingly beautiful. lakes? can’t imagine something better. whenever we can all gather, rain or shine, and bask in the wonders of agriculture and the natural world around us is a good day. thank you @intervalecenter for putting on one of those days. wintervale not only was a celebration of the gifts nature bestows upon us, but an exchange of knowledge about those very gifts. what a hoot!!

we have news. big news even. our burlington waterfront will be closed starting sunday, march 3rd at 3pm – march 24th while we renovate our kitchen!

this renovation is a significant investment to enhance our efficiency, speed up turnaround time and create a better working environment for our exceptional staff. this investment is not just about improving the physical space; it’s about investing in our people, our product and the very place you’ve come to know and love.

For the month of February, 1% of all Sugarshack sales will be donated to our local Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) chapters as part of our Crepes for a Cause initiative. NOFA is on a mission to sculpt an agricultural utopia that’s not just economically viable but ecologically sound and socially righteous – a harmonious haven that benefits every living being in its sphere.⁠
